We are about to embark on the most ambitious Programme of acute healthcare transformation culminating in new state of the art facilities for residents of Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and the wider region within a budget of will £450m. The Senior Estates Manager (Capital) will form an essential component of the team who will deliver UHL’s reconfiguration programme which in the long term secures the clinical and financial sustainability of the Trust.

Working closely with specialist advisors, design teams, construction partners, clinical and reconfiguration colleagues, the Senior Estates Manager (Capital) is a leadership post providing a technical engineering role within the capital development process, the post holder will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the levels of compliance of schemes carried out under the reconfiguration program. As well as supporting the day to day management of the operational estates maintenance team.

The role requires an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level in a Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline, but equivalent relevant experience in these fields is also acceptable. In addition they will have in depth experience of Hospital building services maintenance including experience of working in technical engineering environments.
