Salaried GP in Emergency medicine

Are you a salaried GP looking for a new challenge? Would you like to be part of the new Urgent Care Team within the Royal United Hospital?

 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate General Practitioner to deliver acute primary care services as part of the Royal United Hospital Integrated Urgent Treatment Centre. There are multiple PA sessions available.

 

Main duties of the job

The highly driven and competent post holder will be an experienced clinician, able to lead a multi-specialty team and thrive in the urgent and emergency care environment.

This gives the post holder a unique opportunity for innovative portfolio roles and to really make a difference for one of the countrys most in need populations.

The post holder must be able to act as a high quality experienced asset within the MDT, practicing high quality evidence-based medicine and supporting other clinicians across the team.

 

The Emergency Department covers a catchment area of approximately 500,000 people and last year had approximately 72,000 attendances. We are continuously striving to provide high quality patient care and believe in the fact that all patients should receive the right care by the right person with the right skills the first time. This is evidenced by our patient feedback.

 

The Trust’s aim is to provide excellent consultant based care for our patients from the moment they arrive, and to ensure rapid access to the right service at the right time, as well as maximising opportunities for ambulatory care and early discharge.

 

The Royal United is a 759 bedded district general hospital, close to the centre of the historic city of Bath. The Trust provides hospital and community health services for a population of 500,000 within Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire. With an excellent primary care service and Minor Injury Units across the district, secondary services are centred at the RUH. Bath offers excellent shopping, entertainment and sports facilities, as well as excellent links to London, the southwest, Wales and beyond.
