Salary from £17,867 - £21,000 per annum, pro rata

Hours per week contract: 2 positions

Monday and Tuesday – 10am to 4pm

Wednesday to Friday 10am to 4pm

About us

As a Family Support Worker you will be based at the Carers Centre in the grounds of St Andrew’s Healthcare. This is a dedicated space where we offer a warm and welcoming environment for the family and friends of the patients in our care. We act as a hub for the carers to meet, access support and guidance.

Your role with us

You will be a welcoming, friendly face to meet and greet family and friends of patients in our care, this is not a patient facing role. You will demonstrate the St Andrew’s CARE values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence in your daily practice. We tailor our approach to meet the individual needs of the families we work with. Needs will vary, but may include providing support through listening and enabling their voice or signposting to specific services. The role also involves administration tasks and opportunities to support with projects.

Full training will be provided.

Your profile 

You will be caring, friendly and easy to approach. You must have excellent inter-personal skills, communication and listening skills and be able to demonstrate empathy and understanding. You will be committed and reliable and work as part of a team, but also use your own initiative. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
