The North West Paediatric Critical Care, Surgery in Children and Long Term Ventilation Operational Delivery Network (ODN) is a new organisation formed as an outcome of a national review of children’s critical care and specialised surgical services. The ODN promotes the provision of sustainable, high quality, responsive PCC and SIC services within our region.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate and reliable data to the Network. This will involve the development, creation and testing of systems and tools to accurately support the management of paediatric critical care and surgery in children with network stakeholders in North West

Duties include the maintenance of network databases, including support for data collection, and developing a working knowledge of all the software packages used within the service; Assisting with the collation of statistical data. Maintaining a high standard of data quality within the Network; and providing standard reports as required. The post holder will support the analysis of all key data and provide detailed reports to support the ODN.

You will be an indispensable member joining a new team working closely with the Consultant Clinical Leads, Network Director , and Lead Nurses /Practitioners , and the ODN administrator

You will be a graduate or have equivalent qualification and will have experience of data management and be able to analyse data. Previous knowledge and experience of information systems and database management is a must – applications are welcome from individuals with NHS experience or from sectors in which the skills acquired can be transferred into the NHS . Proven technical expertise in data analysis such as Access, Excel, Business Objects, SQL is required .

You will be actively encouraged in your personnel development. A flexible working pattern to suit the teams and your needs will be encouraged to ensure the ODNs objectives are achieved .
