Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


Our newly developed Community Enhanced Rehab team is expanding, and we are looking to develop our OT services within this team

 

The post holder will assist the occupational therapists in the delivery of treatment interventions in a wide range of local community settings including residential and supported living accommodation. Interventions may be delivered individually or as part of group work.

 

The post holder will need a relevant qualification in health care or have relevant experience in delivering health care. Successful candidates will have knowledge of mental health conditions as well as an understanding of the role of occupational therapy in the development of a person’s health and wellbeing.

 

The OT service is delivered as part of a Multi-disciplinary team and post holders will be working alongside other mental health professionals in order to deliver integrated care. The successful candidates will be working under the supervision of a qualified occupational therapist.

 

The service provides a range of training and career development opportunities. Currently occupational therapy engages with the L6 Occupational therapy apprentice scheme.
