An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Heart Division for an experienced and innovative nurse to join our team, which is led by the Nurse Consultant in Cardiology.

This clinical role will enable you to develop your skills in a variety of aspects of cardiology nursing, including pre-admission clinics for elective procedures, outpatient management of patients following elective and Primary PCI, management of other nurse-led clinics such as the rapid access chest pain clinic and management of a caseload of patients including those being admitted for day-case procedures. The role includes nurse-led discharge of patients from the day-case unit.

The successful candidate will need to be highly self motivated, be able to demonstrate advanced management, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to work autonomously as well as within the Cardiology team. We provide a full in-house training programme and study leave to help you develop your potential. Qualification in clinical assessment and as a non-medical prescriber would be advantageous but training can be given. We would consider ambitious band 6 nurses in a training post who could work towards a band 7.

The post holders will be based at Harefield Hospital, but some cross-site working may be required.
