North Manchester Care Organisation comprises North Manchester General Hospital and is an organisation steeped in history playing a significant part in the general health and wellbeing of its local community for well over a century.

Recent years have seen huge investment and as plans are made for the care organisation to come under the leadership of Manchester Foundation Trust under the single hospital service, further investment is secured to create a hospital with the right care provision for the community it serves.

The teams here are immensely proud of their hospital and continue to focus on providing much needed care for a population who regularly present with varied and complex case mixes, multi-morbidity and socio-economic challenges.

Recent CQC feedback recognises the good level of care provided by our teams and improved leadership across the care organisation with an overall general improvement in areas of safety.


Team/Departmental Information

· Support Directorate Support Manager dealing with AL requests, shift swaps, actioning requests in the Paediatric Generic email inbox, escalating any issues as necessary.

· Prioritises correspondence and responds if appropriate ensuring that matters requiring urgent action are actioned without delay.

· Provides, receives and manages information electronically, verbally or in writing.

· Establishes and maintains filing systems (including electronic), ensuring that all information, records, is kept in a logical sequence so that it is easily retrievable and confidentiality is maintained

· Confident in the use of software packages used within the Trust such as PAS and Microsoft Office

· Carries out any other tasks as required, commensurate with the grade of the post

The above indicates the main duties of the post, which may be reviewed in the light of experience and developments within the service. Any review will be undertaken in conjunction with the post holder.


The part you play

· The post holder will have an important role in ensuring accurate rota records, we are looking or an enthusiastic, flexible, focused person to join our team.

· Reporting to the Directorate Support Manager, the post holder will be required to provide efficient and effective support and administrative service to the Department.
