An exciting opportunity has arisen for the newly created role of Senior Financial Accountant in the Finance and Procurement Directorate of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL).

This is a technical finance role where the post holder will lead and performance manage the Financial Accounts team in providing a technical financial service and financial accounting activities to the Trust ensuring that the Trust meets its duties in these areas. Other responsibilities within the role include leading the charitable funds team and providing strategic support to Trust Group Holdings (TGH), a subsidiary of the Trust.

To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified Accountant with experience in a similar environment. You will need to demonstrate your capability in planning the work of other members of the team, both now & in the future, implementing new systems & developing procedures as appropriate to enable tasks to be completed to strict deadlines in order to maintain the integrity of the financial ledger.

You will be managing a diverse team and as an experienced leader, you must demonstrate your ability to lead from the front, growing a team and culture that aligns to the Trust’s strategic aims and priorities.
