The Lead Accountant Financial Services is a newly created role to support the Assistant Director of Finance - Financial Services in building a high performing finance function, delivering good quality financial information to the rest of the organisation and the Executive Team.

Key focus of the role will be to:

  • Manage the transactional services and financial services within the Trust, including private patient and overseas visitor services, ensuring that the Trust meets its duties in these areas.
  • Lead on the production of annual and monthly transactional and financial service dashboard reporting and monitoring returns.
  • Ensure that appropriate systems of financial control for transactional and financial service areas are in place and operating effectively.
  • Deputise for the Assistant Director of Finance - Financial Services in these areas where necessary, including representing the Trust at internal and external committees/meetings at a senior level, and will be the lead individual for the transactional and financial services.

You will be working closely with senior finance colleagues and therefore you will need to evidence your track record of communicating with, advising and influencing staff at a senior level.

You will be managing a diverse team and, as an experienced senior leader, you must demonstrate your ability to lead from the front, growing a team and culture that aligns to the Trust’s strategic aims and priorities.

To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified Accountant and have a track record for delivery within a large and highly complex organisation.
