PICU Orderly

The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is currently a 31-bedded purpose built Unit nominated as the Lead Centre for Paediatric Intensive Care (PIC) services within the West Midlands region. We undertake the care and management of critically ill children for a wide range of medical and surgical specialties both from within the hospital and as referrals from major district general hospitals.

We are looking for a PICU Orderly to join our existing team of health care support staff on PICU, providing essential support services to enable the nursing team to deliver excellent clinical care in a safe, clean and secure environment. The PICU Orderly role includes physically demanding activities such as the transfer and transportation of patients/equipment.

We will actively encourage and support those who wish to undertake relevant healthcare qualifications.
