Applications are invited for this full time consultant post (10 PA), which has been developed to strengthen the non- invasive Cardiology service, particularly echocardiography across THH. This post consists of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), annualised as 8 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 2 Supporting Clinical Activities (SPA). At THH the post holder will be required to contribute to the care of general cardiology patients on the ward, set up and run outpatient clinics and help contribute to the pre-hospital management of patients including advice and guidance to local GPs and vetting of clinic referrals.

The successful applicant will be based at The Hillingdon Hospital with the enthusiastic Hospital Cardiology Team. Additionally, the post holder will work one day per week at Harefield Hospital.

THHNFT is a 500 bedded District General Hospital in West London. It is an Associate teaching hospital for Imperial College Medical School, and hosts the MRCP PACES examination each year. There is an active post-graduate training programme, and Research and Development Centre. THHNFT is part of the accountable care partnership Hillingdon Health and Care Partners (HHCP). EOLC is one of five priority work streams of the HHCP.

The hospital has a wide case-mix, including patients from Heathrow Airport. Access to the hospital is good, with pleasant surrounding urban and rural areas.
