Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


A rare and exciting opportunity is available to join Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) leadership team as our Clinical Dietetic Manager. We are looking for a leader with proven strategic and operational management, service development and clinical leadership skills to drive forward the future delivery of our services.

Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) has a team of approximately 80 staff working in primary care, mental health, public health and home enteral nutrition and is made up of dietitians, community nutritionists, dietetic support workers and support team staff covering the population of LLR. This role will have specific leadership and management responsibilities for our Primary Care and Mental Health team covering outpatients and community hospital inpatients and our newly developed dietetics prescribing team.

You will be a self-motivated team player, passionate about quality improvement and service development and have excellent communication skills. You will represent LNDS on Trust groups and committee and county wide meetings including meeting with our existing and prospective commissioners across Local Authorities and the Health and Social care community.

Ability to drive and access to your own transport is essential.

The service is committed to CPD and personal development and we have good clinical supervision models and in-house CPD in place to support you. The service is involved in the pre-registration placements for student dietitians undertaking A, B and C placements which this post holder will have a lead role in.
