Weston Division is situated in the seaside town of Weston Super Mare, Weston General Hospital is a sought-after place to both live and work. We are proud of the fact that we are the small hospital and a part of UHBW and as a result you will be an integral part of a friendly and welcoming team; a team keen to see you flourish.

During your first 2 weeks within our Trust you will complete a structured training plan to enable you to hit the ground running as a registered nurse. Our training will equip you with all the RN skills that you need including within your induction, access to enhanced skills such as IV Training, Venepuncture and Cannulation.

Following training, you will start our preceptorship programme which is a six month innovative programme, led by nurse educators with proven ability to coach and mentor nurses. This will enhance your clinical expertise, help you master complex concepts, sharpen your critical thinking ability, promote career advancements and develop your leadership potential.

Rotational Positions Available:

Extensive training opportunities are available to registered nurses with a number of rotational Staff Nurse Positions available within Weston Division. The positions that are currently available give you the opportunity to learn and develop an interest in a number of different areas around the Trust by rotating from different speciality wards of your choice with each rotation lasting 6 months.

Our practice development nurses will support you in the development of new knowledge and skills required to settle into this busy friendly hospital. We look forward to hearing from you.
