An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic leaders who want to join the Internal Medicine Directorate. A number of Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse posts have become available in the Directorate at the Freeman Hospital.

We are looking for experienced candidates with an interest in ensuring high standards of clinical care are delivered to our patients, as well as supporting and developing our junior workforce. The successful candidates ideally should have management experience, however as we have a number of posts available we are open to considering candidates who are looking to professionally develop in the Sister/Charge Nurse role.

The Medicine Directorate is a large fast pace directorate which provides excellent opportunities for professional development and flexibility within the role. The wards with vacant posts are acute wards, which provide care to a variety of patient groups. These are detailed below please feel free to contact the Senior Sister of the wards directly for information regarding their post.

The successful post holders will be expected to work a variety of shifts including bank holidays, weekends and some night shifts. Should you apply, please state in your personal statement if you have a preference to where your skill set might best be placed.
