Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC)- Clinical Nurse Specialist- Band 7

Based: Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals

Hours per week: 18.75 Hours – Part-time (0.5 WTE)

The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust is the UK’s largest post-graduate specialist heart and lung centre, with a world-famous reputation for its history in the investigation, treatment and research of heart and lung disease. An exciting opportunity within our Trust has arisen for an enthusiastic individual keen to explore and develop their career as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This role is a unique opening within the highly specialist Inherited Cardiac Conditions (ICC) Nurse Specialist team, that supports and cares for individuals that either have or whom are at risk of ICC’s. The post offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in ECG recognition, arrhythmia and heart failure management including symptom trigger rescue work, and understanding of ICC’s and genomic healthcare along with their management and family risk stratification. Formal and informal teaching, developing autonomous practice and service development will also be encouraged.

Whether you are an existing band 7 nurse interested in ICC’s or a senior band 6 nurse wanting to progress, the opportunities this post offers are endless.
