Are you a Registered Occupational Therapist who is interested in supporting people living with dementia?
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work with people living with dementia, leading our established Meaningful Activity Service and working as part of the Dementia Multidisciplinary team. We believe that providing excellent person centred care for people living with dementia and their families is essential to improve outcomes for patients in an acute care setting

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional individual with vision and energy to provide clinical leadership and professional support to our team of Meaningful Activity Facilitators on the older people’s wards and across the emergency floor.

The successful appointee will demonstrate a good understanding person
centred care approaches of meaningful occupation,. Do you have the drive to improve practice in this field, enhancing patient and carer experience, staff knowledge and skills?

The Post holder will be expected to develop innovative ideas to work alongside the Admiral Nurses and Meaningful Activity
Facilitators. The post holder will develop the Meaningful Activity Service,
provide line management and leadership for the team.
You will need to engage and motivate clinical staff to promote the dementia
work stream and the role of meaningful activity, improve patient experience; ensuring dignity is at the forefront of all interactions.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Senior Nurse, the Older
People and Dementia Sisters, Admiral Nurses, Patient Experience, Clinical
teams and Geriatricians, to deliver and promote dementia care and services
internally and at external events.

If you are an experienced Band 5 or Band 6 who is enthusiastic and passionate about dementia and meaningful occupation and can demonstrate knowledge and skills in this area then we would like to hear from you.
