Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, flexible and committed Band 6 Physiotherapists to join our existing Falls Prevention Service with a focus on patients living in Leicester city. There are a number of posts available and they will be heavily involved in the development of the Falls Prevention Service as well as delivering this service to meet the demands of the local population.

The team will be providing patients with specialist falls assessment and rehabilitation in both community and outpatient settings either on a 1-1 basis or in groups. This will involve working with patients in their own homes, outpatient departments and other community venues across the city. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team which includes Consultant Geriatricians, Nurses, Therapists and Technical Instructors.

This post requires Physiotherapists who preferably have clinical skills and experience working with patients who are at risk of falls. Experience working in the community would also be desirable. Excellent organisation, communication and team working skills are required for this position.

Although the posts will be working in the city, the vision of these posts is that they will be integral in helping to drive this expansion of the service forward with the existing band 6 therapists and Band 7 Team Lead.

It is a statutory requirement for roles that involve work in care homes that staff are up to date with their Covid vaccination status to be able to work in that environment, unless the person has a valid medical exemption. For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, these are set in advance at a team level and you will join an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date.
