RESUSCITATION OFFICER

BAND 6

Fixed Term post – Full Time 37.5hrs

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Resuscitation Officer to join our Service for a one year fixed term position.

You will join our established team of Resuscitation Officers in delivering training, clinical support, and advice, on all aspects of basic and advanced life support and clinical skills across the Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be an active member of the resuscitation team and be expected to respond and attend to emergency calls as part of the adult, paediatric and trauma teams. You will also assist in auditing, and assist areas in setting up and maintaining emergency equipment as well as delivering local training as required. You will assist in the delivery of both basic and advanced life support training Trust wide.

The Resuscitation Officer will be a Registered Nurse, Paramedic or Operating Department Practitioner who has a clinical background in critical or emergency care. Ideally you will have experience with both adult and paediatric patients.

The resuscitation service also provides support on guidelines, equipment, conducts clinical audits and is involved in patient safety and quality improvement work streams. You will be required to lead on specific projects and therefore the ability to work independently, manage your time efficiently and keep to deadlines, is important.

You must be a Resuscitation Council UK ALS provider with Instructor Potential.

Our main sites are Ashford Hospital, TW15 3AA near to Heathrow Airport and St Peter’s Hospital, KT16 0RQ which is close to junction 11, M25. We also operate services at Woking Bradley Unit and Milford Hospital. A free shuttle bus service operates between Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals.
