We are recruiting for two Data Managers to come and join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity due to the fact that you will be employed by The Adam Practice but you will be based at the Dorset Research Hub helping to deliver various studies for the benefit of our population in Dorset.


The Adam Practice is a partnership of 16 GPs located across 4 surgeries in Poole, Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing primary care team in a forward- thinking, innovative, general practice, which has a current CQC rating of ‘Outstanding in Care’.


At the Adam Practice we are the only research practice in Wessex to deliver complex research studies. Due to the pandemic, The Adam Practice has collaborated with the Dorset Research Hub at University Hospitals Dorset based at Bournemouth Hospital.


At the Dorset Research Hub, we have been delivering vaccine studies that are complex and fast paced since October 2020. Across Wessex there are a total of three research hubs that have been developed to deliver COVID vaccine studies at the height of the pandemic. From these hubs, and the work carried out globally, we have successfully found vaccines that are now deployed to the general public.


Due to the nature of the way COVID is evolving there is a pipeline of booster studies coming through that need data support for. The main task of this role is to transcribe data across from paper to a computer system that we have been assigned to use along with other administrative type tasks.


This role is fixed term for 12 months with scope to extend. We require full time working and the chosen candidates will have excellent computer skills as well as being flexible in your approach to work.


In return you will be supported by the Lead Data Manager as well as the Lead Research Nurses working at the Dorset Research Hub. We are a large team who are friendly, proactive and willing to teach the right candidate skills that are transferable.
