We are actively recruiting for an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician / Health Care Support Worker, to join our Gastroenterology Team in Ravenswood, Ipswich


InHealth has been providing patients and commissioners with rapid access to high quality endoscopy services in community gastroenterology clinics for over 10 years.

Leading the way in direct access services we work closely with primary care clinicians and commissioners to support the management of patients in the community and reduce waiting times at our local hospitals. We design locally agreed integrated pathways helping CCGs provide patient-centered community endoscopy services through a one stop service.

Our services include Transnasal & Oral Gastroscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Bowel Scoping, Community Gastroenterology Clinics.



What does being an Endoscopy Decom Technician / HCSW involve?


This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.


You will:

  • Be responsible for decontaminating and maintaining the supply of endoscopes to JAG decontamination standards
  • This will include high level disinfection of valuable complex flexible endoscopes for use in the clinics
  • Ensure the smooth running of the working day by receiving and preparing patients for their procedure
  • Assist the team in delivering a caring and effective patient focussed service



What skills and experience will you need to apply?

  • Previous experience working in Endoscopy
  • A passion for patient care
  • Attention to detail and an eagerness and ability to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • good listening skills with an ability to present information in a logical manner
