First Community is a CQC rated ‘Outstanding’ staff owned social enterprise, which delivers NHS community services to residents across east Surrey and in parts of West Sussex.

Through our first-rate people we deliver first rate value to the public, providing community nursing, including district and specialist nursing; health visitors, school nurses and immunisations and a wide range of adult and children’s therapies. We also run a rehabilitation in-patient ward and a Minor Injury Unit (MIU).

First Community is a great place to work and our CQC rating puts us among the top two percent of organisations providing NHS care in the country. Everyone here has a voice and is supported to develop their career to its full potential.

We offer all our staff: High quality training and development opportunities, flexible working to enable a good work, life balance, an inclusive and friendly work environment, an NHS pension, flexible retirement options and employee benefits including a car salary sacrifice scheme.

First Community values diversity and inclusion and is committed to the recruitment and retention of under-represented minority groups. We particularly welcome applications from black, asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates and candidates with disabilities.

Please note that inline with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, from 11 November 2021 all candidates applying for a role which may be required to work within a care home setting, must be fully vaccinated against Coronavirus (COVID-19) unless medically exempt. This requirement will be checked and validated through our pre-employment process.

Further duties will be allocating extra visits to the District Nursing teams work schedules, booking patient visits, managing the telephone, data inputting, maintaining diaries, files, databases, spreadsheets and the ordering of supplies.
