Part Time Receptionists Needed

Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice

CHoC have recently taken on the management of the general medical services at Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice. As a result of this we are seeking to grow our reception team and are looking for three dedicated and enthusiastic receptionists.


About the Role

As a receptionist you will be the first point of contact for patients both face to face and on the phone dealing with queries and making appointments. You will also complete a range of administration tasks and communicate patient information with clinical staff.

We are looking to recruit three receptionists on the below hours. Please state when applying which shift pattern would suit you best. There is an hour lunch break each day. There is an expectation that you will also be required to work extra shifts in order to help with sickness and holiday cover.


Vacancy 1 (22.5 hours):

Monday 08.30 – 17.30

Tuesday 08.00 – 14.00

Wednesday 09.00 – 18.30


Vacancy 2 (21 hours):

Monday 08.00 – 16.00

Tuesday 09.00 – 16.00

Wednesday 08.30 – 17.30


Vacancy 3 (18.5 hours):

Tuesday 14.00 – 20.00

Wednesday: 12.00 – 16.00

Thursday: 09.00 – 18.30


About you

You must:

  • be friendly and helpful
  • have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • enjoy working on your own initiative
  • have a professional and confidential approach at all times.
  • be IT literate (Confident in the use of Microsoft Windows and ideally EMIS although training will be provided on this)
  • be able to work accurately and prioritise your workload
  • be flexible to suit the needs of the business

Previous experience of reception work and/or working in a medical environment is essential.
