Job Title: Senior Community Mental Health Nurse - Adult Mental Health

Salary band: Band 6

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Mental Health Nurse to join our team in Southampton Central Community Mental Health Team.

As a team, we are passionate about providing a service of the highest quality that is safe, effective, compassionate and responsive. You will be joining an experienced, inclusive and supportive team, working with adults with severe or enduring mental health needs. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and recovery focussed in their approach. You will create collaborative care plans with service users, provide therapeutic interventions and offer support to families and carers. Within your role you will also be undertaking assessments of individuals referred to our service and participate in a rota for our “Shared Care” clients as well as managing safeguarding concerns for adults with complex mental health needs.

We welcome practitioners who are looking to develop in their career and have interests in developing their therapeutic skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in central Southampton, a diverse, multi-cultural area which also has two large universities on its patch. There are also high levels of social deprivation and homelessness so an interest in these issues would be advantageous.

The Trust will support you in this duty by providing ongoing training, support and advice and have a Corporate Safeguarding Team who can be contacted for guidance and the provision of safeguarding supervision.
