We are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Band 6 Vascular Nurse Specialist to join the current Vascular Nurse Specialist team at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.

You will be part of a committed team of professionals and work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT). We offer a friendly and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional development.

It is essential that you are a highly motivated individual to assist in leading and supporting the team through innovation and change. You will need to be flexible in your approach and be able to demonstrate the ability to provide high standards of patient-centred care. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with all members of the MDT and patients, and be able to prioritise your workload.

A minimm 3 years post registration experience, with clinical expertise in the Vascular specialty is essential. Knowledge/experience of managing Vascular patients, particularly those on an Aneurysm management pathway would be advantageous. A keen interest and knowledge in wound care would be very desirable as part of the role will entail supporting patients with complex wounds. The post holder will need to provide the expertise to support and develop the skills of the Vascular ward staff in managing patients with complex wounds and tissue viability needs.
