HMP YOI Moorland is a category C men's prison and Young Offenders Institution based in Hatfield South Yorkshire. The site offer a range of healthcare services comprising of a Physical Health team, Mental Health Team, Pharmacy Team and Substance Misuse Team. 

The site are able to offer family friendly flexible hours Monday to Sunday with various hours, services usually run between 7.30am and 7.30pm. HMP YOI Moorland has a welcoming and supportive team who are able to offer excellent training opportunities for career development. 

The site is easily accessible from the M62, M18 and M180, and all staff are offered free onsite parking.

What can we offer you?

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner with prescribing you’ll be an integral part of the healthcare team by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care.

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £54,060 per annum FTE depending on experience; cycle to work scheme, uniform, training, development and employee recognition scheme. We also offer a company pension scheme, 25 days annual leave increasing with service up to 28 days per year, plus 8 public bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time), shopping discounts, free eye tests for computer screen users, an employee assistance helpline and clinical development opportunities.

What will you be doing?

You will be passionate about offering high quality evidence-based care, practicing within your sphere of competence, and agreed acceptable limits of practice, in accordance with company goals and strategies, prison service policies and procedures and in line with the NMC Code.

You will be accountable for your own practice including the independent assessment, diagnosis (including ordering and interpreting investigations), care planning, treatment and discharge or referral of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions, both minor and more complex.

You will lead on co-ordinating and make the key contribution to the delivery of high-quality long-term condition management in line with NICE guidance, National Service Frameworks and the achievement of targets within the primary care Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).

Leading by example you will share your experience and knowledge with other team members through formal and informal teaching opportunities and participating in our clinical supervision model.

You will also be open to new ways of working flexibly to help in delivering the teams response in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
