Urology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist - Band 7
Full Time 37.5 hours a week

There is an exciting opportunity to join the Urology Oncology Nursing Service at Kettering General Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional who is already an experienced nurse with an interest in working with patients referred with a suspected urological cancer.

You will provide high quality specialist nursing care to all patients and their families/carers from diagnosis, treatment and beyond; you will act as a keyworker to an identified group of patients with a urological cancer.

Duties will include being part of breaking bad news discussions, providing specialist information and support to those with a urological cancer, running nurse-led clinics and implementing self-supported management pathways for suitable patients.

You will also act a resource for other healthcare professionals for Urological cancer treatments along with the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will hold well developed interpersonal and communication skills and also possess good facilitation and IT skills.

We are looking for an experienced nurse with urological and/or cancer nursing experience. You will be joining the team who will support you in your urology cancer care learning and experience, in return you will need to show commitment to self-direct your own studies to benefit the patients the team and yourself.
