Ophthalmology Healthcare Support Worker, Band 2

 

FT 37 ½ hrs per week

 

The Eye Unit at Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust, is recruiting to the HCSW role at Band 2. This exciting opportunity is to help to deliver the increasing and changing demands within the eye unit. The Eye Unit runs clinics from its main sites of Ashford Hospital in Middlesex and St Peters Hospital in Surrey, the Eye Day Ward is at the Ashford Hospital site with outreach clinics running at Hounslow, and Woking.

Ideally we are looking for an innovative HCA who is interested in Ophthalmology, the job involves working in either in the clinic setting or the Eye Day Ward. Within this role you will be supporting the trained nurses in delivering direct care for Ophthalmology patients, attending the Eye Clinic and for eye surgery on the Eye Day Ward. Full training will be given within this role to enable you to complete visual assessments and to support Ophthalmology patients.
