Band 7 Physiotherapist full time, 37.5 hours.

 

The Crisis Response Team, covering Central Manchester area, is looking to recruit an innovative, enthusiastic band 7 Physiotherapist to lead, in conjunction with nurse and OT colleagues, a lively and dynamic multi-professional team comprising health, social services and independent sector staff. Crisis Response is a constantly evolving service so if you like change and challenges, this is the job for you.

 

As a Band 7 Physiotherapist lead, it is an exciting time to be part of our continuing and progressive working environment that deals with ‘crisis’ on a daily basis, and where your clinical skillset will contribute to local residents remaining in their own homes and preventing unnecessary A&E attendances.

Our Crisis Response Service operates as a clinically led multi-disciplinary team comprising Advanced Practitioners, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, support workers, pharmacists and social care staff. The Service provides a 7-day, extended hours, urgent and timely response to referrals from the ambulance service, acute or primary care and other health or social care professionals. From this a rapid assessment and community intervention for up to 72 hours will support adults ‘in crisis’ with health or social care needs, at home.

As well as bringing your clinical skills to the team, you will be a champion of integrated community care. You will possess excellent leadership skills, be a strong team player, an excellent communicator, adaptable, committed, well organized and work well under pressure. You must be motivated, enthusiastic and have proven experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and experience of working in the NHS. It would be desirable that you have experience of working in a rehabilitation/ community setting. Applicants must have a recognised Physiotherapy qualification and be eligible for HCPC Registration.

All staff must be able to travel around various community locations delivering care, so it is essential that applicants can travel independently within the local geographical area to meet the service needs. As the service operates 7 days per week, the position entails working weekends and late shifts on a rota basis.
