Clinical Rotational Pharmacist/ED Admissions (Rotationalplus EDC)

Our Trust is investing in additional pharmacy staffing to support our 7 day admissions service

We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly people passionate about clinical pharmacy to become part of our team.

Due to the promotion of existing post holders we have vacancies for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our dynamic, friendly department.

Our established band 7 clinical rotational programme includes;

  • Admissions & Emergency Medicine
  • Endocrinology
  • Respiratory
  • Cardiology
  • Specialist Surgery
  • Aseptic services
  • Gastroenterology
  • Elective orthopedics
  • Haematology
  • Intensive Care
  • Women’s and Children’s Health

You will benefit from working in a forward-thinking Trust with fully integrated electronic prescribing and patient noting. The successful candidates will receive support and mentorship from senior members of the pharmacy team, including an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Frailty and Care of the Elderly. The department is supportive of candidates who wish to undertake additional qualifications, such as independent prescribing, and will provide you with prospective opportunities to develop your leadership, management and clinical governance skills.

These roles are suitable for dedicated individuals with clinical pharmacy experience and the drive and desire to proactively contribute to delivering outstanding patient care. You will be currently undertaking or have completed a postgraduate pharmacy clinical diploma.

The department delivers 7 day ward based clinical pharmacy services and as such you will be required to participate in the weekend and on call rota.

Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Trust covers two main sites, you may be required to work cross site.

As well as the rotational programme we are also supporting the development of prescribing pharmacists within our team.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
