The Older People’s Mental Health Inpatient Services based at the Western Community Hospital has 2 wards, Berrywood is our functional ward and Beaulieu is our organic ward.

About the role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Senior Health Care Support Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team and support the qualified Nurses in providing effective mental health care in a safe and therapeutic environment. This role is an exciting addition to our team to ensure effective leadership for the Healthcare Support Workers on the ward.

You will require previous experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, with good communication skills. If you are genuinely interested in caring for older people with mental health problems then we would like to hear from you.

You will receive regular supervision and annual appraisals and will be offered training opportunities to meet your Personal Development Plan.

Previous experience of working within a care environment or the NHS is desirable but not essential as you will be supported in learning in the role.
