Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.

Buildings, names and models of care have changed over the centuries, but one thing has remained constant and is prevalent among our 5,900+ staff members: the enduring commitment to providing the best health and care for the people of Bolton.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual to join the Trust's Improvement and Transformation Team as an Administration Apprentice.

The successful applicant will have a positive can-do attitude, strong IT skills and a willingness to learn, as they support the Improvement and Transformation Team with a variety of tasks including the management of diaries, minuting meetings and other ad-hoc duties to support the project management of multiple schemes.

Applicants will be supported during their 18-month Apprenticeship contract to achieve a Level 3 Business Administration qualification, whilst also gaining hands-on work experience and on the job training in many aspects of administration support.

You will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the desire to work in a patient focussed environment. You will also need to have strong organisational skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with people, both face to face and over the telephone, as well as work effectively as part of the team.

The vision of this Trust is to be recognised by the people of Bolton and beyond as an excellent provider of health and care services and a great place to work. We are striving to attract, recruit and retain high calibre skilled staff which reflect our communities. We are an inclusive employer who trains and develops our staff in a positive learning environment. We aim to be consciously inclusive and therefore applications from all sectors of the community are welcomed. We would particularly encourage candidates from a black and minority ethnic (BAME) background and candidates with health conditions or impairment.

From time to time we may need to close a vacancy early when in receipt of a sufficient number of applications. If you are interested in this post and wish to be considered, we strongly advise you to complete and submit your application as soon as possible
