We have the opportunity to recruit Musculoskeletal Team Leaders, who would work with in our MSK Physiotherapy Teams within our Portsmouth and Southampton localities.

The Solent MSK service prides itself on developing individuals and this would be an opportunity for individuals who want to develop in their MSK career. With the challenges MSK Services face with restoration from Covid and the implementation of different service delivery models through both remote and face to face interventions means there is a lot of service improvement opportunities for successful candidates.

There are many opportunities for individual development with high standard teaching and supervision regularly. You would have the time to consolidate skills and further develop as the service is actively involved in research, quality improvement and service development initiatives.

With the introduction of First Contact Practitioner it is an exciting time to be in MSK service delivery. We are rolling out FCP provision across the south coast and successful candidates would have the opportunity to be involved and develop in this new initiative. We have both a remote and inhouse service delivery across 10 PCNS and what to support individuals developing their Advanced Practice skills and fulfilling the FCP road map.

We have a good support network and clinical teams are led by our Pathway Leads in collaboration with Clinical Specialists. We also have specialities in Pelvic Health, Hands, Adolescent MSK and Hydrotherapy within our Portsmouth localities ensuring there are many opportunities for individuals to develop. We have a varied caseload with primary care, self-referrals and trauma / post-operative case-load to give individuals a wide exposure to MSK patients.

We have close links with our colleagues in Persistent Pain, Chronic Fatigue, Long Covid and Podiatry services. Ensuring the MSK patient is managed optimally.

The current roles within our East locality of Portsmouth are at the Queen Alexandra Hospital and St Mary's Community Campus. Roles within our West locality of Southampton at Adelaide Health Centre and Moorgreen Hospital
