Healthcare Support Worker’s, Band 2 – Theatres at Ashford Hospital

 

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Healthcare Assistant with at least a grade C GCSE or equivalent pass in English and Math to join our progressive and dedicated Theatre Environment on both our hospital sites. A computer-literate qualification would be advantageous but not necessary, as you will be expected to contribute towards developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable and you will also be supported with an extensive supernumerary training period to enhance your knowledge and skills.

You will be required to do 37.5hrs per week and our working hours consists of a combination of day and night shifts. Flexible working hours is also available and will be considered on request.

You will work closely with colleagues within the theatre department in a variety of specialties to ensure the cohesiveness and smooth running of the whole department. We need dynamic Healthcare Assistants who will assist colleagues inside theatres as part of your learning in a very busy and demanding environment. Furthermore, you will be given a chance to further your development if interested to join the nursing or anaesthetic role in future.

You should be able to support the core values of the trust in promoting putting patients first, having personal responsibility, passion for excellence and take pride with the team.
