Stores Administrator - Exeter

Job Reference: 202-A-21-15175

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust
£20,330 - £21,777 per annum

Stores have a full time (37.5 hour) fixed term position that have become available.

The successful candidate will be working in Exeter as part of a small but friendly team that are currently based across two sites, but are hoping to move both sites at the end of October into a brand new building out near the airport. So this is a great opportunity and an exciting time to join the team. Although you will be based in Exeter we have a further store in the North of the Trust currently based in Chippenham and we work as a wider team in many respects. You will be responsible for good stock management, raising requisitions to suppliers, processing orders, dealing with questions and queries. You will need to work with stores colleagues to ensure good stock movement and control of PPE, consumables, uniform and medicines around the Trust to ensure frontline staff have what they need to offer amazing patient care.

Previous knowledge of stores and stocks, working with procurement on ordering and receipting goods would be essential and a background in Pharmacy or dealing with medications is desirable. We also use a number of different office software such as Excel and word, as well an electronic Inventory management system to manage our PPE stock and hopefully other lines in the future. So a good IT or system based knowledge would also be very helpful. Full training will be offered – but any skills or previous experience you can offer the team will be taken into consideration.

So if you think you can;

- work both independently or as part of a small team

- manage your time within a busy and changeable environment

- forward plan to ensure tasks are completed

- demonstrate good communication skills

- be adaptable and dynamic

- be willing to learn

then why not apply!

We look forward to receiving your application.
