Anaesthetic Team Leader

Our purpose-built elective service is based at Halton Hospitals in Runcorn and we are seeking experienced, motivated and caring individuals who share our mission to be “outstanding for our patients, our communities and each other”.

We are a designated Covid-19 ‘Green’ site with 6 theatres 2 (Nightingale Building) and 4 with laminar flow (Captain Sir Thomas Moore Building) providing a high standard of clean air quality for patients and staff and perform a wide range of surgery including :

  • ENT
  • Urology
  • Gynaecology
  • Breast
  • Pain service
  • Orthopaedics
  • Dental surgery
  • General surgery

 

Halton Theatres currently support a weekday only provision with exciting future potential development for a weekend service requirement.

Situated in the picturesque county of Cheshire we are just a short drive, via excellent motorway links to vibrant northwest cities and beautiful countryside to enjoy your free time.

 

We welcome applications from both senior ODP’s and nurses or highly experienced Band 5 ODP’s and nurses who are possibly looking to progress into a Team Leader Role.

As a part of the Band 6 team providing the highest standard of care, you will have direct line management responsibility including; assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of elective perioperative care programs. You will be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice, be ALS trained (or prepared to undertake as soon as possible) and have a passion for teaching and mentoring.

All applicants are expected to be forward thinking, possess excellent communication skills and team working qualities. We actively encourage those wishing to multi-skill and broaden their range of clinical expertise and welcome individuals who have an enthusiastic approach to their duties. In return for your commitment and dedication you will be fully supported via peer mentoring and management supervision during your transition period.

You will also have opportunities to work across site at Warrington Hospital, where in addition to our Surgical Specialties; we support Children’s surgery and patients who require enhanced clinical support. This may include late, weekend and night duties across all Trust sites which will be reflected in your contract to ensure all essential services are covered.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
