We welcome applications from newly qualified or experienced Clinical Psychologists keen to develop skills and knowledge in neuropsychology and the treatment of functional neurological disorders. We are keen to recruit to band 8a OR a band 7 Preceptorship Post, with a commitment to training and development to support progression to band 8a within two years.

This is an excellent opportunity to re-establish a neuropsychology service for Sunderland Neurology, while benefiting from the support and supervision of colleagues in neuropsychology and health psychology. The service will provide neuropsychological assessment to support diagnosis and psychological therapy for adults with functional neurological disorders.

You will be part of the neuropsychology team, based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) and you will establish strong links with the Sunderland neurology team by providing some clinics at Sunderland Royal Hospital (SRH).

You will be joining a highly motivated team with extensive experience and knowledge of delivering neuropsychological services and treating functional neurological disorders. You will benefit from training and supervision to support career progression within a preceptorship framework and for continued professional development.

You will be part of the large and innovative Psychology in Healthcare Service, comprising adult, paediatric and primary care mental health sections and delivering services to local, regional and national populations.

The post holder will have a base at the RVI and SRH and as such, travel between sites during the working day will be necessary at times.
