Full-time 37.5 (part-time can be considered minimum 30 hours), fixed term contract up to 31/10/2024.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the Academic Unit for Ageing and Stroke Research (ASR) for a Senior Research Fellow to implement high quality health research addressing the needs of an ageing population.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated researcher with qualitative experience to take on the role of Senior Research Fellow. Working with internationally renowned experts and in a cohesive team, the post holder will be managing a newly awarded research programme funded by the National Institute for Health Research. The programme aims to explore current evidence and service provision, and then working closely with PPI colleagues and other stakeholders to develop service model(s) to support older people living with frailty to manage their pain and reduce its impact on their lives.

The successful candidate will have a post-graduate degree or equivalent experience/qualification in a health or health research related subject, have experience in leading projects, undertaking and analysing qualitative research. Experience or understanding of co-design approaches is desired.

There is an expectation that the post holder will be prepared to work flexibly and travel as required within the UK.
