An exciting opportunity has arisen within Older Peoples Services at Bournemouth Hospital for a highly motivated individual to lead a same day emergency care (SDEC) service who will have a responsibility for rapid assessment, diagnostics and treatment of older people within a SDEC setting, ED and OPAU and specified ward areas. The successful candidate will be required to have an advanced level of professional accountability, autonomy and judgement, underpinned by Masters level theory and experience. The candidate will be required to make complex decision-making across a wide range of complex situations.

The candidate will be required to provide clinical leadership to ACP and ECP to prioritise workload across the department.

The candidate will require effective communication skills to enable good collaborative working, along with efficient time management and managerial skills to optimise outcomes and clinical pathways and flow.
