Due to retirement, we are looking for a Nurse Practitioner. The suitable candidate will be

an independent prescriber with advanced clinical skills, responsible for triaging and consulting with patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional.

The surgery team is friendly and supportive with a low turnover of staff. This vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of one of our Nurse Practitioners after 20 years in post.

The GP team comprises of 4 GP Partners and 2 Salaried GPs, three of whom completed Registrar training at the practice.

The Nursing Team comprises of two Nurse Practitioners, three Practice Nurses and two

Health Care Assistants.

The practice area is diverse including Wynyard Estate, a luxury housing development and Port Clarence, an isolated community with high deprivation/social needs.

· 9000 patients

· Teaching practice with GP Registrars and Medical Students

· Nurse Practitioner seeing acute same day patients

· Timings of sessions can be flexible

· In-house Minor Op/Injection Clinic & LARC services

· SystmOne clinical system

· CQC Good rating with outstanding in Responsive

· Phone system enables remote working

· Free car parking nearby

We are an active member of the Billingham & Norton Primary Care Network.

The ideal candidate will be a Nurse Practitioner qualified to degree level and have an

independent prescribing qualification. The ability to work autonomously as well as being

an integral part of the team is essential, together with excellent communication skills.

Primary care or urgent care experience would be preferred for this post.

Start date negotiable to suit our preferred candidate.
