Community Administrators - CHS

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Community Administrators to support our teams and service users, within Community Health Services for Nursing and Therapy.

Due to this being a large admin recruitment drive, we have many locations available: -

  • Melton
  • Market Harborough
  • Leicester City
  • Loughborough
  • Coalville
  • Hinckley and Bosworth
  • Enderby

Our service operates 08.00 – 18.00 Monday to Sunday therefore this post requires the candidate to be fully flexible and be able to cover all shifts (including weekends and bank holidays)

You will need to demonstrate good communication skills and be able to work independently in a variety of community settings. You will need a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team and to use your own initiative.

The primary responsibilities for the post holder would be to assist with the organisation and upkeep of administrative systems, underpinning the management of the multidisciplinary teams and help support the team to provide a seamless journey for our patients from admission to discharge. This role is central in allocating care to patients in a timely and effective manner, so the ability to prioritise while remaining calm under pressure will be an advantage.

In addition to general administrative duties, the role will include using the electronic patient record system (SystmOne), completing electronic referrals, tasks and assisting where appropriate with data collection for audit purposes, data entry, together with supporting Core Community Nursing and Therapy staff, Team Leads and clinicians, ordering and monitoring of equipment and stores. This list is not exhaustive.

The community teams use an electronic patient record system called SystmOne and experience of working on this system would be advantageous. The required training will be provided to the successful candidates.

You will need to be a good team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills. You need to be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your work effectively.

The following skills are essential to the role:

  • Experience with databases
  • Competent with all Microsoft Office systems
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
