We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our growing team.


The post will be split 50/50 to provide medicines management to our Oncology team at the LRI and with the Professional Development & Clinical Assurance team (PDCA) .

Our pharmacy team is friendly and progressive and aims to provide a high level of clinical expertise to patients. As a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician your role will be to undertake medicines reconciliation and drug histories in order to ensure the patients receive the correct medication right from the start of their hospital stay. You will also assess patient’s own medication and promote one stop dispensing and facilitate patient discharge.


As part of your Professional Development training role you will assist in organising and managing all aspects of Registered Pharmacy staff and support staff training and assessment, ensuring sufficient skills, knowledge and competence to meet the professional and service standards required by General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) to deliver high quality patient care. You will also support with the recruitment, induction, training and management of Level 2 and Level 3 Pharmacy Apprentices over the 3 sites. This is an ideal opportunity to develop new management and leadership skills and enhance existing ones.


You will be required to participate in late duty, weekend, on-call and bank holiday rotas. You will be required to have an NVQ/QCF Level 3, BTEC pharmacy qualification or equivalent, be registered with the GPhC, have experience in final checking and line management skills. Cross site working is required within your PDCA role.
