Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantive band 8a Team Manager for CAMHS Crisis.

CAMHS Crisis provides urgent assessment and home treatment interventions within the community and within the role of Team Manager you will be responsible for the operational and clinical delivery for the assessment & home treatment, the hub, central access point and the new provision, secured through the mental health investment standard, Crisis Plus. With new investment, brings opportunities to further develop how this service can be delivered across the various elements and the post holder will work closely with colleagues within team to continue to deliver high quality care, whilst shaping the service.

The preferred candidate will ideally have CAMHS experience, although it’s not essential, but you will need to demonstrate a proven track record of strong leadership within mental health services and preferably a psychiatric community setting. You will need to have excellent clinical and leadership skills to manage the complexities that this patient group present with.

You will be responsible for a leading a dynamic team of Nurses, Mental Health practitioners and wider MDT, whilst demonstrating the trust values and showing effective and strong clinical and operational leadership. The trust is very passionate about supporting training and development and will work with the successful candidate to expand their knowledge and grow in their chosen career.

It is a statutory requirement for roles that involve work in care homes that staff are up to date with their Covid vaccination status to be able to work in that environment, unless the person has a valid medical exemption. Where a role requires this, they will need to demonstrate that they meet this requirement during the recruitment process.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, these are set in advance at a team level and you will join an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date.
