MPFT has a vacancy for a Consultant in GU Medicine at the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Sexual Health Service.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with strong leadership and management skills to play a major part in delivering a high quality, innovative, integrated sexual health model of care for the population served by the Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland.

The post is full time delivering 10 Programmed Activities per week. The post is based at Haymarket Clinic in Leicester’s city centre and the Loughborough Medical Centre.

Responsibilities would include: continued delivery and further development of the service, guideline development, research, audit, quality improvement projects, contribution to an active educational programme as well as supporting and mentoring junior doctors and nurses. A strong clinical network is in place to ensure that sub-specialty interests and skills are maintained.

The consultants will join an enthusiastic and friendly team with 4 consultants (excluding this post) associate specialist and specialty doctors. There are strong links with other consultant-led sexual services within the wider trust. The unit is ably supported by integrated sexual health nurses, HCA team and administrative support.
