Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated provider of acute, intermediate and community health care serving the population of Bolton. This provides us with an opportunity for our services to work closely with our partners in primary care and the local authority to ensure a seamless service for our patients.

Here at Bolton our patients are at the heart of everything we do. We ensure our patients receive the highest quality of Care and are guided by our trust Values. We are proud that our Trust is a centre of excellence for maternity, neonatal and care for children, and that it has been rated as Good by the Quality Care Commission (CQC). This is in recognition of the patient experience and quality of care that our staff provide to patients. It is also supported by our Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professional Framework for Professional Practice.

The Trust’s ambition is to be a centre of excellence for women and children’s care. The Trust provides care for children young people and families in a variety of ways with dedicated multidisciplinary staff working together to achieve best outcomes for children and young people. The Division has acute medical, surgical and HDU beds for children along with a children’s assessment unit. In community, children and young people are supported by 0-19/25 Public Health team, Children’s Community Nursing service, Allied Health Professionals covering physiotherapy, OT, Speech and Language therapy and Dietetics along with our Paediatric Learning Disability Service.

In addition, the division provides excellent Sexual health services for Bolton and Salford.

This post for 0-19/25 services is a key in ensuring the the continued success of the service in achieving the best outcomes for children and young people while supporting and developing our Public health workforce.
