Totally plc Urgent Care Division is currently looking to employ General Practitioners based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne covering Westgate Road UTC and Home visiting OOH on a permanent basis. We can offer you regular fixed sessions to fit around your availability. We operate a 24-hour, 365 days per year service and currently we have sessions available during the daytime, evenings, nights and at weekends.

As a salaried GP we can offer you a highly competitive salary along with access to our generous benefits scheme, which includes an NHS pension. In this role you will triage and clinically manage the diverse range of presenting problems associated with an urgent health care setting. You will work flexibly and support other clinical and operational colleagues to ensure the organisation delivers the highest standards of care for patients, whilst meeting its contractual requirements.

Successful candidates must be fully qualified GPs holding a valid GMC Registration and Certificate of Completion of Training [CCT]. You must have up to date annual appraisals/revalidation and comply with our statutory and mandatory training requirements (child and adult safeguarding, BLS etc). You must be willing to undergo a full enhanced DBS check. You will need post registration experience working in NHS general practice and urgent care settings and have the confidence to manage all aspects of acute primary care, which includes the effective telephone triage, competent face to face assessment and management, and efficient onward referral of patients, as required.
