We are looking for an organised individual with excellent interpersonal skills to work in our Call Centre. You will provide a point of contact for patients wishing to book or amend their outpatient appointment.

You will be first point of contact for Patients, General Practitioners, Secretaries, Clinic Coordinators and other health care professions regarding outpatient appointments. A key aspect of this post will be your ability to use your initiative to communicate with staff and patients to ensure appropriate action can be taken to resolve any problems.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and a very good telephone manner, together with GCSE English and accurate keyboard skills are essential. Recent experience of working in a Call Centre is desirable and an understanding of the NHS outpatient booking systems would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.

The opening hours of our department are Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. Full time and/or part time will be considered, please ring for more information.

A telephone test will be conducted prior to interview.
