Are you a leader with experience of addressing health inequalities and partnership working looking for the next challenge? Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS) makes an important difference to 1000’s of our diverse citizens each year. We are looking for an experienced operational manager to build on the fantastic achievements of LMWS’ first two years.

The role:
You will be responsible for leading and ensuring the delivery of a high quality, accessible, inclusive, safe and effective service. You will work at a strategic level with senior leaders across the partnership to manage service delivery, contract compliance and budget. Excellent stakeholder relationships are key; with the service coproduction network, within Leeds Community Healthcare Trust, with GP’s, commissioners, partner organisations and the wider Mental Health sector in the city.

Since establishing in late 2019 this innovative service has continued to deliver support during the pandemic by adapting to new and innovative methods. The service continues to evolve in response to emerging needs and changing investment; you will need to be flexible and adaptable in leading service change.

What we do:
The service works across the city, delivered by NHS and third sector partners ensuring that the people and diverse communities of Leeds get the right support, at the right time, in the right place. We provide support and psychological therapies for mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, and offer a range of evidenced based psychological activities.

You are:

A people person, skilled at delivering results through others; passionate about mental wellbeing, have a track record of addressing health inequalities in service delivery and ensuring those who need help the most are able to access it. You have sound cultural awareness and sensitivity with commitment to challenge discrimination and oppressive practice leading to a more inclusive work and service delivery environment. You put people first, see the big picture and the detail, are happy with complexity, with skills in assertiveness, collaborative working and flexible positioning. Able to make autonomous judgements in complex situations.
