This post offers advanced specialist training for 1 year in Paediatric Ophthalmology to be based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

The Leicester Royal Infirmary provides the ophthalmology service for Leicestershire, a district with a population of over one million.

The candidate will be joining a team of 3 consultants and a Paediatric Neuro Fellow, along with a full Orthoptics team. The post is suitable for an ophthalmologist nearing the end of their training or already in possession of CCT. It offers post accreditation experience beyond traditional UK registrar rotations for ophthalmologists wishing to specialise in paediatric ophthalmology.

The successful candidate will work with Ms Samira Anwar & Miss Nagini Sarvananthan and Mr Stratton Tyradellis. The candidate will be expected to make a substantial contribution to research and training in the department along with providing some emergency care.
