Interim Lead Night Nurse Practitioner (6 to 12 months secondment) – Band 8a

Are you an experienced Night Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner who is looking for a step into leadership? If so, this may be the post for you.

We are looking for an individual who understands the complexities of autonomous, out of hours working and who strives to deliver consistent, safe, high quality, evidence based practice and a positive patient experience.

The post holder will have responsibility for the leadership and management of the Night Nurse Practitioner team alongside maintaining their own clinical practice. The role will split its time between 40% clinical and 60% being leadership and management. You will have responsibility for operational delivery of this service, which will include people management, HR, finance, service development, being a professional role model, and further developing relationships with other teams and Divisions.

The successful candidate will be a natural leader who can influence, has vision for service development and continuous improvement, and has the ability to take others on the journey with them. You will lead from the front as a professional role model, and demonstrate exemplar behaviours including compassionate leadership and excellent communication skills. You will evidence attention to detail, and will be able to navigate complex problem solving, continually striving to make a difference.
