Role title: Technical Adviser (Economics)

As a result of the above we are looking for skilled Technical Adviser (Economics) to guide the organisation through this period of dynamic transformation.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Technical Adviser (Economics), the Technical Adviser (Economics) will be responsible for providing professional leadership and technical advice across the Centre to embed the routine consideration of data and analysis across the guideline development ‘ecosystem’, as well as supporting the health economic components of guideline development, such as updating existing economic models or undertake the development of original, applied economic analyses that will be used to inform the deliberations of Guideline. In addition, the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality of the economic and modelling related outputs of the Guidelines programme, and for providing economic and modelling advice and support to team members across the programme.
The post holder will also line-manage Technical Analysts according to NICE’s policies and procedures, as well as contributing to the training and development of staff and Guideline Committee members, and supporting methodological developments for the Guidelines programme on data analytics and economic.

The Centre for Guidelines is a world-leading authority in developing clinical, public health and social care guidelines. It provides recommendations for the NHS and local authorities on appropriate prevention, treatment and care options for people in England, based on systematic appraisal of the best available evidence of effectiveness and cost effectiveness. You will be joining a team of 10 health economists withing the Methods & Economics Team within the Centre.
